A fun and hilarious fancy dress costume idea is a banana costume. I mean, who would think of dressing up as a banana except a child, or, believe it or not and I believe it, a teen! Somehow dressing up as a piece of fruit, especially a banana, is something that kids find hysterical.

You might want to think about a police costume for your child’s next dress up party. Kids love dressing up as policemen or policewomen, as firefighters, as doctors or nurses, as soldiers, as astronauts, as air hostesses or air stewards, as pilots of course, and as chef. If a child has an interest in a career, such as any of the above, or they are just fascinated by any of the above, let them choose a dress up costume that works for them. You can order any of these costumes online and they are really inexpensive. Dressing up is good for all children; it is an important part of fantasy and of growing up. Let your child choose the costume that they want. If they want to help you make it, great, but otherwise choose a costume online and get it delivered. You might even want to choose a few.
Policeman accessories
Part of the fun of dressing up and finding costumes online is also finding the dress up accessories that go with the costumes. If you are looking for a policeman costume, you need a policeman hat, or policewoman hat obviously, as well as a holster and maybe a weapon. A baton is just fine, a plastic one of course, most parents do not want their children playing with real guns. You might want to get the dress up accessories only, especially if budget is an issue. Take a look at all the options and when we are talking accessories you can get accessories for any of the fab costumes above, including helmets, masks, wands, stethoscopes and such, without needing to go the whole hog.
Encourage your child to dress up, appropriately of course, and let them have fun with their imaginations. If they want a police costume make or buy one and let them save the world for a day!

There is nothing cuter than seeing kids in animal costumes and a toddler as a bear, frog, monkey, dinosaur, is just too adorable. Babies often get dressed up by their parents as animals and while the babies might not know what is going on, they do love getting all the attention. Toddlers, when it comes to dress up parties for friends or dress up parties at nursery school, also love waddling in as whatever is their favourite animal of choice, which can often be a puppy, dog, cat or kitten. The best place to buy dress up costumes for babies, toddlers, kids or teens, is an online dress up store where the choice is really big, or you might have a store down the road from you too. I remember when I was young my mom used to make my dress up costumes which were fun and lovely, generally a long tail pinned on to a pair of shorts or a dress, and some moms and dads still like to make their own costumes.
Animal costumes for you
You know if you look at costumes online you will see that there are plenty of animal costume ideas for adults too. And they are absolutely hilarious. Some of them are blow up costumes which are great novelty costumes for adults to wear, albeit not the most comfortable but definitely that will get the most laughs. Others are just fun adult animal costumes, some ordinary and some kind of saucy. If you look at the internet and go through the galleries of photographs, you will get loads of ideas for dress up costumes and what you, your kids or your baby can dress up as.
We think that dressing up is so much fun and if you embrace it, so will your kids. Look at the animal costumes available online and have a good laugh.
Animal outfits are always fun for kids, but also, for you!

It might be a new thing having 100 days of school costume but it really is a wonderful thing. Children love the idea of getting all dressed up in fancy dress costumes but did you know that it is actually a healthy thing for them to do? Dressing up inspires children’s creativity and imagination. It gets them thinking in an imaginative way, thinking of books, thinking of film, thinking of nature. It gets them thinking of what their favourite things are. Do they want to dress up as a famous poet, which shows an interest in poetry, or do they want to dress up as their favourite author or as their favourite book character? This is great as it shows an interest in books and reading and writing too. Do they want to dress up as nature or as something in the environment, which shows they are interested in their environment and even, they are aware of the challenges that our world faces. Do they want to dress up as a country, a flag, or something geographical? You can see the options are endless.
Dressing up as creativity
We know school kids, and they may buy their costumes from online or offline stores and perhaps their parents made them, with their help, who have dressed up as a Math's equation. This is really smart, and shows creativity or art mixed with science. We know kids who have dressed up as a science experiment which is funny but also shows how science is in fact really cool. We know a kid who dressed up as the continent of Africa, and another who dressed up as a tree. Kids can dress up in any way, within boundaries and as long as it is appropriate. Dressing up as your favourite shark or dolphin, probably an easy costume which again you can buy online even last minute, is also great for 100 days of school costume.

Fifties was the era of rock and roll and a 50s costume is such a great idea for a themed fancy dress party. Adults in particular will like this type of party. The costumes are really easy to design and a 50s party is really loads of fun to plan. The 50s were about dancing, wide skirts for women, turn up pants for men, lovely hairstyles, cat eyeglasses, aprons, jelly, shoes and socks and of course, wonderful music. Women looked prim and proper but always had a tinkle in their eye, their shirts were well fitted and even sexy, and men looked dapper. Milkshakes were big, as were big bowls of punch, and everyone loved the polaroid camera. You can decorate the table with old fashioned crockery and cutlery, buy plates and cups online that are fifties theme, and use colours like pink and blue. If you can play music on a record player, or get a DJ who can play vinyl, even better.
The fifties and diners
The diner becomes a thing in the fifties and the costumes often feature the kind of clothing that one would wear to a diner, or that one would wear behind the diner counter, i.e. the staff. There was always a juke box, which you could hire if you have the budget, and you can serve delicious ice creams or milkshakes. Get an ice-cream stand, or serve ice-cream piled up high, decorated as a flashy Sundae. Invitations can be rock and roll (remember Elvis) or decorated with diner images. And definitely find someone who can take photos of the guests using the polaroid camera, and give them the photos straight away.
Fifties parties are fabulous. If you don’t have the clothes that are appropriate, order 50s costume from an online store for better prices. Remember the emphasis is on fun.
