Adult pirate costumes

Captain-style outfits are the most popular pick — long coats with cuffed sleeves, waistcoats, sashes and tricorn hats. We stock Caribbean-style deluxe captain sets as well as simpler mens outfits with hat and boot covers included.

If you want something darker, there are ghost ship and undead buccaneer versions with distressed fabric and skeletal detailing.

Womens pirate costumes

Womens options run from full-length wench gowns in burgundy and teal to multi-piece swashbuckler sets with vest, shirt and sash. Ghost pirate versions are available if you want a Halloween lean rather than a party lean.

Most womens styles pair well with a bandana or tricorn from our accessories range.

Kids pirate costumes

Kids sets are usually supplied as complete outfits so there is nothing to assemble the night before. We carry skeleton pirate versions with masks, and pirate princess tutu sets with hat and eye patch for girls.

Pirate is a reliable Book Week choice too — it works for Treasure Island and plenty of other titles, and children recognise it without explanation.

Anime pirate costumes

We also carry straw hat captain, surgeon and swordsman outfits for fans of the anime pirate series. These are distinct from classic Caribbean styling — brighter colours, character-specific silhouettes.

Accessories

Tricorn hats, bandanas, beaded braid wigs, beard and moustache sets, eye patches, cutlass swords and pirate makeup kits are all sold separately.

If you are working with clothes you already own, a hat, an eye patch and a sash will read as pirate on their own — the accessories do more heavy lifting than the outfit here.

Group and couples ideas

Pirates scale well for groups because everyone can wear a different silhouette and still read as one crew. A captain plus a few crew members and a wench covers most group sizes.

Sizing

Available in boys, girls, mens and womens sizing across the range. Costume sizing runs differently to everyday clothing, so check the size chart on each product page before ordering.

Delivery

Orders placed before 2pm on weekdays ship the same day from our Melbourne warehouse. Allow extra days for Australia Post if you need it for a specific date.

Do you have Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Davy Jones or Barbossa POTC costumes?

Honest answer: not currently. We stock Jack Sparrow and Angelica from On Stranger Tides, but Will Turner (Orlando Bloom), Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), Davy Jones (CGI octopus-face villain) and Captain Barbossa specifically branded character costumes are not currently stocked. These are on the 2026 buy list: email us if you need one and we can flag if a vendor unit becomes available before the next AU shipment.

What sizes do you carry: do you do plus size?

Adult mens pirate sets cover Standard through XL. Adult ladies pirate sets typically run AU 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 (Standard, M, L, XL). We do not currently stock a true plus-size AU sixteen-to-twenty Pirate adult range with proper plus-fit grading: XL on most ladies styles tops at AU 14. This is a known gap in our range. For closest-to-plus we'd recommend the Mens Pirate range or the looser silhouette ladies wench cuts (Buccaneer Beauty, Shipmate Sweetie).

Do you stock Captain Hook costume and standalone hook hand?

Yes: Mens Pirate Captain Hook Costume is the adult Captain Hook set, and Pirate Captain Hook Hand is the standalone hook-hand prop (sold separately, can be paired with any other costume). The Disney 1953 / live-action Captain Hook character-specific costume is not separately branded: it's a generic pirate captain with hook hand styling.

Do you have Jolly Roger, British Redcoat, Zombie or Ghost Ship pirate variants?

Do you have an Eye Patch standalone?

Currently the eye patch is sold as part of the Pirate Sword and Eyepatch Accessories combo set. A standalone eye patch is not separately catalogued in our range: if you need one, ask in chat / email and we'll point you to an in-stock alternative or note the request.

Are the Viking and Horrible Histories Viking costumes in this category Pirate?

No: those are Viking products that also appear in the Pirate category due to a legacy category mapping. The Vikings (Mens Viking Warrior with Cape, Adult Mens Viking King, Viking Barbarian Queen Adult Women Warrior, Horrible Histories Viking Boy) are not pirates: they're Norse warriors. How fast can I get a pirate costume?

Same-day Melbourne dispatch on weekday orders placed before 2pm AEDT. From there it's Australia Post Standard ($9.80 flat) 3-7 business days metro / 5-10 regional, or Express ($14.80) 1-3 business days. Australia Post handles delivery so the day-count is indicative not guaranteed.
