Perfect For
Book Week & Roald Dahl Character Day: Whether it's Book Week dress-up, World Book Day events, or a dedicated Roald Dahl character parade, this costume covers Charlie and the Chocolate Factory requirements with full theatrical flair.
Literary Costume Parties & Themed Events: Ideal for storybook character parties, library reading nights, themed birthday celebrations, or school concerts where children dress as their favourite literary heroes.
Halloween & Fancy Dress Events: Works equally well for Halloween trick-or-treating, school Halloween discos, or general fancy dress parties where whimsical characters shine.
How to Wear It
Pair with black pants, black dress shoes, and a curly wig (all sold separately) for the complete Willy Wonka look. White gloves add an extra touch of theatrical formality if desired.
Frequently Asked Questions
What size should I order for my child?
Refer to the size chart image on the product page for accurate height and chest measurements. The tailcoat runs true to size with a relaxed fit over regular clothing.
Does this costume include pants and wig?
No — the set includes the purple tailcoat jacket with attached waistcoat, gold bow tie, and top hat only. Black pants, shoes, and curly wig are sold separately.
Can the waistcoat be worn separately from the jacket?
No — the candy-print waistcoat is permanently attached to the jacket as a single piece. It features printed buttons and pocket details rather than functional components.
