The child old man costume is a full-body jumpsuit designed to transform kids into centenarian characters for 100 Days of School events, Book Week, or Grandparents Day celebrations. The all-in-one design features a printed argyle sweater vest and white collared shirt front that creates the illusion of layered separates, paired with grey high-waisted trousers with rolled cuffs.
The costume captures the classic elderly gentleman look with its black-and-white argyle pattern vest, grey diagonal stripe detailing, and printed white collar with permanently attached bow tie. The lightweight construction ensures easy movement for school parades and classroom activities. White sleeves provide contrast against the printed vest front.
Key Features
- Unisex styling suitable for both boys and girls
- Stitched roll-up cuffs on trouser legs for authentic vintage high-water effect
- Lightweight fabric won't overheat during outdoor school events
Perfect For
100 Days of School costume celebrations (dress as a 100-year-old), Book Week character events (elderly storybook characters), Grandparents Day school activities, school concert grandfather roles, costume parades, and comedy variety performances. Pair with black dress shoes (not included) to complete the old man outfit.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this costume include a walking stick?
No, the walking stick is not included. The package contains the printed jumpsuit, grey flat cap, and fabric glasses-beard set only. Walking sticks are available separately as costume accessories.
Is the argyle vest a separate piece?
No, the argyle vest and white shirt are printed onto the front of the jumpsuit to create the layered look. Only the white sleeves are actual fabric sewn into the one-piece design. This makes the costume easier to put on and ensures nothing comes untucked during wear.
How does the beard attach?
The fabric glasses and grey beard are a single unit that secures around the child's head. The oversized round frames sit on the nose while the beard covers the lower face, creating the full elderly gentleman effect.
