1970s & Retro Game Nights: Whether it's a 70s disco party, a retro board game theme night, or a childhood nostalgia fundraiser, this costume taps straight into marble-chomping memories from the decade that invented the Hungry Hippos craze.

Halloween & Fancy Dress Events: Stand out at Halloween parties, costume contests, or any fancy dress occasion with this instantly recognisable inflatable — perfect for solo wear or as part of a group hippo invasion with friends in matching costumes.

Fun Runs & Fundraising: Eye-catching and humorous for charity fun runs, corporate team events, or school fundraising days where teachers and staff dress up to raise donations and community spirit.

How to Wear It

Step into the jumpsuit, switch on the battery-powered fan, and let the costume inflate around you within seconds. Wear with comfortable trainers or sneakers in white or neutral tones — the hippo does all the visual work.

Frequently Asked Questions

No — the fan unit requires 2×AA batteries which are not included. Purchase separately and install before your event.

Yes — a clear viewing panel is built into the mouth area, allowing you to see out while the hippo character appearance stays intact.

The fan runs continuously while the batteries have charge — typical AA batteries last 2-4 hours of continuous use, enough for a full party or event. Bring spare batteries for longer occasions.

Absolutely — the original Hasbro game features four hippos in different colours (turquoise, pink, orange, yellow). Order multiple costumes in available colour variants to recreate the full Hungry Hungry Hippos game board as a group.
